Zoom! is a bleaching process that lightens the discolouration of enamel and dentine. The Zoom! light activated whitening gel's active ingredient is hydrogen peroxide. As the Hydrogen Peroxide is broken down, oxygen enters the enamel and dentine, bleaching coloured substances while the structure of the tooth is unchanged. The Zoom! Light aids in activating the hydrogen peroxide and helps it to penetrate the surface of the tooth.

The procedure usually takes between one to two hours including a full consultation regarding the Zoom! treatment and during this time, patients may comfortably watch television or listen to music. We begin by covering your soft tissues (lips & gums) with a lip balm and a protective barrier in order to shield them from the effects of the gel and ultra violet light. The Zoom! light gel is then applied to the teeth, followed by three 15 minute sessions with the Zoom! Advance Power light.
