Invisalign® can help to treat a variety of orthodontic concerns including teeth which are crooked, crowded or with gaps – but because it is clear, removable and comfortable, it won't interfere with your life.
Because it's nearly invisible almost no-one can tell you are wearing Invisalign®, so you can smile more during as well as after your treatment. You can remove Invisalign® so you can eat and drink what you like, and studies have shown that it can be better for your dental hygiene2 during treatment as well! Invisalign® treatment starts with a visit to your dentist, Dr Klaudia Tombolis. She will carry out a free 15 minute consultation and discuss the orthodontic options with you as well as take photographs. She will then submit details of your case and the photographs to Invisalign who will respond by producing a free case evaluation highlighting your suitability for Invisalign as well as which Invisalign product is appropriate.
There are now various Invisalign products: Invisalign Full, Invisalign anterior, Invisalign Lite and Invisalign Teen. Once the case evaluation has been returned to us we will send you an email explaining your treatment options including a fully costed Invisalign treatment plan. A more thorough explanation of the Invisalign process, a consent form and an example of a "Clin check video"produced by Invisalign which takes you through from crooked teeth to perfectly straight teeth.
If you decide to go forward you can book in for impressions and an x-ray. This information is used to produce your own personalised clin check video. This can be modified by Klaudia to get the best result possible. At this point a short consultation can be arranged to decide whether to go forward based on the video. Once the Clin check is accepted, Invisalign swing into action and manufacture the series of plastic trays that are required to move your teeth.
Each aligner is slightly different, moving your teeth gradually into the desired position. You wear each aligner for two weeks, before moving on to the next in the series.
Treatment length will vary depending on your case, but the average Invisalign® treatment is 12 months. Your aligners need to worn full time other than to eat or drink. During treatment you will need to visit Klaudia every 4-6 weeks, until it is determined that your treatment is complete. Then all that remains is to show off your beautiful new smile!
If it is not possible to carry out Invisalign treatment or this is not your chosen treatment option we have a specialist Orthodontist at the practice Dr Kostas Spathoulas who will carry out fixed appliance therapy (braces) on both children and adults. She can also place Incognito lingual appliances which are invisible braces hidden on the inner surface of your teeth.
Alternatively there are other forms of orthodontic therapy such as the Inman Aligner or generic clear aligner therapy and Klaudia would be more than happy to discuss these with you and will taylor a plan depending on what you want, what is possible and your budget.

Klaudia Tombolis qualified from the University of Adelaide in Australia in 1996. She developed solid groundings in a private practice for 2 years in Adelaide. Klaudia moved to the UK in early 1999 and worked for one year outside London followed by working in a private practice in central London from 2000 to 2010 taking time out to raise her 3 children in the interim.
Throughout her time as a dentist, Klaudia has maintained her commitment to continued professional development by attending courses on regular basis.
Klaudia's interests also lie in the fields of general and cosmetic dentistry and throughout her professional life has remained focused in providing excellence in every aspect of her care.
