Dentaid's mission is to improve the oral health of
disadvantaged communities around the world, and since Dentaid began in 1996,
the charity has supported over 200 oral health projects in over 50 countries.
Dentaid is committed to helping organisations provide compassionate care to
those in oral health need. However, the charity's main focus is upon preventing
oral health problems in the first place. Helping governments and charities to
train rural health workers to provide basic dental care for remote communities
is central to Dentaid's strategy.
